One of the more amazing hidden gems has to be the Hualapai Mountains and Hualapai Mountain Park. Located less than 20 miles south of Route 66 this forested island in a sea of desert is a veritable oasis. Miles of hiking trails, cabins, and fine dining enhance any visit to this mountain paradise. However, it is the stunning vistas that inspire the first utterance of awe.
